A LETTER FROM OURÂ VICE PRESIDENT OF MEMBERSHIP
Dear Potential New Member,
I am super excited that you are considering going through recruitment at UAH! Although this process can be a little nerve-wracking at times, joining a sorority is one of the most fun and rewarding experiences you can have in college.
As you go through recruitment, remember to keep an open mind, be your most authentic self, and simply enjoy meeting new people and making new friends. Doing this will provide you with the best opportunity to find your home away from home and join a sisterhood that will last a lifetime.
When I first came to UAH, I didn’t know anyone. I made a few friends during Week of Welcome and in my classes, but I was missing the deeper connections that I had with my friends from high school. Because of this, I decided to sign up for fall recruitment.
At first, I was anxious about meeting all of the sorority members, but that didn’t last long. Everyone that I talked to welcomed me with open arms, and I immediately found the connections and friendships that I was looking for with women who shared similar values and goals to mine.
Looking back, joining Delta Zeta has been the best decision that I’ve made in college.
I cannot wait to meet you, and I hope that you also make these connections and find your home here at UAH.
DZLAM,
Amy Van Benthuysen
